End-of-Year Donations

PJC will process end-of-year donations through 12:00 noon tomorrow, Tuesday December 30.  We will return any calls made by the deadline, or please use PJC’s mail slot (next to the Manorhaven Avenue entrance) for drop-off.

Please Note:  NO January Tot Shabbat

Due to school vacation schedules, we will not hold Tot Shabbat on January 2.  Please join us the first Friday night in February and successive months.

Chagall’s Bible:  Mystical Storytelling

Sunday, January 11, 3:00 pm at the Museum of Biblical Art in Manhattan.  This private tour is the next in a series of cultural opportunities we are offering to our members and friends.  $10 adults/$8 children.  To RSVP, please send your check, made out to PJC, to 20 Manorhaven Boulevard or call PJC for more information.

January 2, 8:00 pm:  Erev Shabbat Service.

January 9, 8:00 pm:  Erev Shabbat Service, including Cantor Jennifer Strauss-Klein.

January 16, 8:00 pm:  Erev Shabbat Service.

Please note:  Due to very limited interest, Torah Study has been suspended for the time being.  If you are interested in participating in Torah Study, a Learners’ Service, visiting other unique congregations, or other Shabbat Morning experiences, please contact Rabbi Goloboy.

Plan Ahead—Save these PJC Dates

Monday, January 5:  Religious School and High School resume normal schedules.

Wednesdays, January 14 and 28, 12:00 pm:  Our biweekly Brown Bag Lunch group will continue studying Kabbalah.  All are welcome to participate at any time.

Thursday, January 22: Port Washington Jewish Community Women’s Event, to be held at Community Synagogue.  Details in the January Newsletter.

Monday, January 26, 8:15 pm:  Book Club meets, discussing The Ministry of Special Cases by Nathan Englander (fiction).  Description of book in December and January Newsletters.

Thursday, January 29, 7:30 pm:  PJC Annual Guys’ Night Out featuring Texas Hold ‘Em.  Details in December and January Newsletter.
