Join Rabbi Goloboy and the Port Jewish Center community every Shabbat and Jewish Holiday as we come together as an inclusive community. Children are welcome at every service, although there are some that might be more kid-friendly due to start time or length. Adults are encouraged at all services, as well, as we bask in the warmth of raising the next generation within our congregational embrace.

Our main Erev Shabbat Service is held at 8 pm on all Friday nights, with the exception of the third Friday of the month. This service includes Kabbalat Shabbat music and prayers, Torah reading, sermon or discussion, and a communal Oneg Shabbat.

Our Earlier Shabbat Service is held at 7:30 pm on the third Friday night of the month. This service is a bit shorter and does not include Torah reading.

Tot Shabbat is held on the first Erev Shabbat of every month, Friday at 6:30 pm, in addition to our main service. This service is geared towards those up to age 6 and includes song, story, and ritual. No prayerbook is used. Parents and Grandparents alike—as well as any in our community wishing to celebrate our youngest learners and prayers—come to enjoy this half-hour of Shabbat celebration.

High Holy Day Services are held on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. All are welcome to join with Port Jewish Center, although we do welcome contributions from non-members who are able to help support the synagogue.  Click here for 2011 information.

Festival and Holiday Services are scheduled throughout the year in celebration of Pesach, Shavuot, Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Chanukah, and Purim. For the three festivals, Yizkor services are scheduled in the morning, as well. Please see the PJC calendar for upcoming service dates.
